Electrode for detecting defects in external insulating coatings of pipes
Description
Crescent-shaped electrode is designed to define places of discontinuities on external insulating coatings of the pipes from 25 to 1020 mm diameter.
Features
- Simple design allowing the electrode to cover part of the pipe surface while moving during inspection.
- The electrode length (coverage angle) allows complete inspection of the surface in two to four passes.
- The design configuration depends on the pipe diameter: covering one-half of the circumference generatrix (for pipes up to Ø530 mm) or one-quarter of the circumference generatrix (for pipes up to Ø1020 mm).
